Destro's Razorback was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1989. It included the driver, Wild Boar. The Razorback was also available in 1990 and discontinued in 1991.

Wild Boar was released as part of the eighth series (1989), packaged exclusively with the Destro's Razorback tank. He was also sold in 1990, then was discontinued domestically in 1991.

The Razorback was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.

International Releases
In the late 1990s, the Razorback was released in India with a random G.I. Joe figure. Additionally, the vehicle itself was made with a slightly lower plastic quality.
