The Mountain Howitzer was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1984. The toy was also sold in 1985 and was discontinued in 1986.

It was also available via mail order as part of the Battle Station Set (along with the Cobra Bunker and Checkpoint Alpha) from 1988 - 1991.

Easily Broken/Lost Pieces

As the Mountain Howitzer is comprised mainly of small, removable parts, all pieces are easily lost.

The Mountain Howitzer was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.


No variations of Mountain Howitzer are known to exist.
