The Viper Glider was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1983. The box included the driver, Cobra Viper Pilot.

The toy was also sold in 1984 and was discontinued in 1985.

Driver/Pilot: VIPER PILOT (v1)

Viper Pilot was released as part of the second series (1983), packaged exclusively with the Cobra Viper Attack Glider.

The Viper Pilot and Viper Glider were sold in 1984, then discontinued domestically in 1985.

Easily Broken/Lost Pieces

The entire Viper Glider is extremely fragile. Made of foam, extra care should be taken with the Viper Glider.

The Viper Glider was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Collectibles, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.


No variations of Viper are known to exist.

International Releases

In Argentina in 1984, the Viper Glider was sold as the Asa Delta Camuflada.

In Brazil, the Viper Glider was also sold as the Cobra Asa Delta.
