Series: One (1982)
The JUMP [Jet Mobile Propulsion Unit] was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1982 without a pilot.
The JUMP was repackaged in 1983 and sold with a pilot - Grand Slam (v2).
The Jump was available from Hasbro Direct via mail-away offers until 1985.
The JUMP jet pack accessory was also included with several figures:

Easily Broken/Lost Pieces
Take extra care with the sight piece of the laser cannon - it's a thin piece and it can sometimes break off.
In addition, the black power cord is lost easily.
Featured In
The JUMP was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.
Variations
The blaster came with one of two sized peg-holes for the power cord.

International Releases
In Europe in the early 1980s, the jet pack was recolored in red and released with the Action Force Q-Force Deep Sea Defender.
In Australia and New Zealand, Toltoys released the JUMP in Action Man packaging.
