The Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5 was released in the first wave of Bravo Vehicles for the Pursuit of Cobra toy line in 2010. It included the driver, Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank Driver.

Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank Driver was released boxed with the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5 in the first wave of Bravo Vehicles for the Pursuit of Cobra line in 2010.
Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank Driver remained unchanged when released in the variant black Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5.

Easily Broken/Lost Pieces
The Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5's red missile, black ammo belt, and two black cables are small and easily lost.
Featured In
The Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5 was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.
Variations
As the instructions encourage owners to make their own unit number with the decals, there are numerous variations in the unit markings on the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5.
Additionally, the color scheme of the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank v.5 changed during release. Earlier releases had a maroon body, gray tracks and weapons, and a red missile. The later release recolored all of these to black. Additionally, the spring-loaded catch for the "elevated attack position" was retooled to be more secure. This later release also included updated instructions.
