While he was released in the U.S. as Machine Gunner, Codename: Rock & Roll, in Brazil he was released as Arma Pesada, Nome de Código : Gladion. The term "Arma Pesada" translates into Heavy Gun.
Gladion was part of the first Comandos em Ação series in 1984. He's a straight-arm figure and has no date stamp on the body. The back of the figure feature the Estrela logo on raised lettering. The figure came with the same accessories as the U.S. version - a green helmet, a black machine gun, and a black bipod.
While the vehicles released in 1984 did not come with vehicle drivers, the packaging and filecards were linked to encourage kids to buy both. The filecard of Gladion explained that he operated the Lança Missil playset.
