Pasukan Elite Amerika
GI Joe was published in Indonesia by P.T. Misurind (PT Midas Surya Grafindo) in Jakarta in Indonesian. The covers of the issues have a cardboard like paper, which is much thicker then the American version. An interesting cover addition that is unique to Indonesia is that in the UPC code box area there was a unique Joe related sketch of a vehicle or a scene from one of the books. And the upper box which generally in the US had Hawk or Grunt in its place also has a variety of different characters. (see the covers below to see the differences)
They were published from 1990 to 1992 with about 12 issues per year for a total of 30 issues published. With the exception of the first issue, two US Marvel issues were included in each book, for some reason issue #21 was skipped. Based off an advertisement in issue #30 for #31, there maybe more issues but this is unconfirmed. The subtitle "Pasukan Elite Amerika" translates to Elite America Troops.
This was the first Asian country discovered to have GI Joe published during the Marvel run.
In issue #10, the only known official list of countries in which GI Joe was published was included on the front page.
