Full Details

Serpentor is giving a speech about how the native Nanzhao people must join The Coil, if they want to survive. Standing next to him are several heavily armed Viper guards, the threat is real as Cobra has defeated every force or resistance the country has put up against it. The Vipers then hustle the civilians away as Major Bludd walks up making a joke about how Serpentor’s public appearance is so different then his appearance when he is working directly with Cobra in the field. Serpentor doesn’t appreciate the joke. Major Bludd is totally confused as to why the new Cobra Commander is doing all of this invasion/ conquering a country actions which have exposed Cobra to the world like never before. Serpentor just responds with “I have something to show you.”

Later, Major Bludd sitting in a Hummer limo where he challenges what Serpentor is showing him. They walk into an office as Tomax is talking on the phone to a Senator about why Congress funds a ultra secret military special force that is failing all over the world to stop Cobra. Tomax is aware of the plan Serpentor and Bludd are working on. Since Tomax despises Bludd, he positions himself in the middle between their attempted coup & the Commander. The information Serpentor showed Bludd they show to Tomax who changes his approach and begins to go along because they would give Tomax the Commander position.

In the Pyrenese, Tomax has reached out to one of the Cobra Council members to pass on the information he received from Serpentor. This Council member says he will convey the information to the rest of the Council. A woman with a bath towel around her body and another around her head walks in right past to Viper guards. With a gun in each hand which are pulled from the towel on her head, she executes both of the guards. Then she shoots the Council member in the gut. As he is dying, she tells him that they have a new Commander now who has no need for a Council and no more need for Cobra to be in hiding. She drags him to his computer and begins to inflict pain on him in order to get the exact location of the other Cobra Council members. Later, dressed in her traditional black, the Baroness blows up the house.

In Washington DC, Chameleon (Erika Le Tene) walks in to talk to Firewall, both are bandaged and recovering from their fight with Steeler (See Cobra #8). Firewall, shows Chameleon some information on the destroyed home in the Pyrenese (same one the Baroness destroyed). They want to investigate it but have very few resources left as they are closing their current base and most of the Joes are in the field in Nanzhao. Scarlett and Mainframe are on video with them as Chameleon gives her assessment, which she believes is Cobra dealing with its high command in a very deadly way. Scarlett, agrees but can’t send anyone in the field nor on the active duty list, Chameleon and Firewall are still recovering. Mainframe has a suggestion.

In the Ukraine, two men are loading two crying young girls into a truck, when one of the men just dies. The other then has a sword pressed to his throat with a voice telling him to take the cuffs off the girls. When her phone rings, she answers as she continues to hold the sword to his throat. Mainframe is calling on secure channel that is supposed to be used only for emergencies. Saying “This is an emergency. Your country needs has need of you, Chameleon.” Her response is that is not my name anymore. (See Cobra II #4 to understand why she is not Chameleon anymore)
