Utah, the Pit. Roadblock asks Spirit his feelings about the Native American protest and if he feels conflicted. Spirit explains that his warrior and shaman sides are not in conflict, but they serve each other.
In the land of a million elephants, Stalker leads Zap and Storm Shadow to a temple that Bottom Line (a new Joe never referenced before) has said is a node of Cobra activity. They enter the temple and find Red Laser at the controls of a giant piece of lab equipment.
In Rudatistan, Leila awakes in the rubble of a fierce battle. A muton breaks in to sanitize the site. It says resistance is futile and for her to accept her fate. Leila says she no longer accepts her fate.
At the Olliestan/Rudatistan border, Tunnel Rat Torpedo and Alpine find the battle site where Bombstrike defeated the Black Major and killed some insurgents. They board a ferry to Rudatistan. The ferryman keeps raising the price. The ferryman tells the story of the battle, how Bombstrike and Leila left for the Bozigian River, and how Black Major chased them in three vehicles after Bombstrike defeated him.
In New York’s East Village, Dawn and Granny wheel the ill Aunt of the would be robber into a medical clinic. See Issue 234 The admin at the desk is about to refuse her when Granny pays for her treatment with a gold bar valued at $40,000. Granny tells Dawn that she is a weapon, an instrument of ill fortune and that weapons need to be utilized with respect and discretion. She also tells Dawn that she will pay her back for the Aunt’s treatment.
In the land of a million elephants, a Quad Prototype Blue Ninja attacks Stalker, Storm Shadow, and Zap. Red Laser ignores the fight and eats a sandwich. The three Joes destroy the Quad only to find out that the quad is one of many and it has learning software. The Joes won’t be able to use the same method twice to defeat them. They learn from their mistakes and pass on the knowledge.
In Olliestan, Leila fires a machine gun at the Muton to no effect. She says she has let men control her all her life and she will no longer let that happen. She picks up a Blue Ninja energy whip and cuts the Muton in half. Leila gets on her motorcycle and seeks out the missing Bombstrike.
Ten kilometers away Alpine and his team see three tanks, a Hiss IV, a Hiss I and a Ringneck speeding across the desert. Bombstrike is tied to the front of the Hiss I. Black Major is riding in the Ringneck. Alpine, Torpedo, and Tunnel Rat attack the column in an Awe Striker. The Black Major smiles at what looks like a weak attack but changes his tune when Leila is spotted behind them.
In Utah, Spirit and Roadblock finish their inspection and their discussion about how the warrior side of a person can feed or serve a different side. In this case Roadblock’s chef side feeds his warrior side. Both sides benefit. Spirit is hoping to benefit from Roadblock’s eggs benedict.
