Full Details

The Pit sick bay, Lifeline lists the extensive injuries of Sean Collins, aka Throwdown, to Hawk. Hawk tells Sean that for security reasons, Cobra must not learn of the death of Snake Eyes. Sean communicates his answers with a notepad. If he accepts, and impersonates Snake Eyes, there will be consequences. Sean writes “What are the consequences?” Throwdown will have to officially die. There will be a funeral at Arlington and his family will think he is dead. Sean accepts.

Scarlett enters the sick bay and Hawk leaves. She brings in Snake Eyes possessions that Sean will need to have, among the items is the Lesser Light sword made by Onihashi. Sean begins to write something to Scarlett and she stops him, holding his hand.

In the Silent Castle (See Marvel Issue 21), Cobra Commander demands answers for the events in Olliestan (See Issue 212) Black Major and Red Laser explain what happened and Dr. Mindbender comes in with video surveillance footage. He shows them a new Joe that they are trying to use facial recognition to identify.

In Japan, there is a new plaque being added to the Arashikage shrine honoring the dead. Speaking of revenge and retribution no longer being the norm, Storm Shadow leads Jinx and Raymond to the old compound. He tells the tale of the squirrel he carelessly shot with an arrow and the events that led up to the death of the Hard Master (See Marvel Issues 26, 27 and 43)

Sean Collins is buried with full honors in Arlington Nation Cemetery. His father Wade Collins, mother and sister attend. In the Silent Castle, facial recognition software is used and Cobra figures out that Wade Collins is at the funeral. The software has also identified the new Joe in Olliestan as Sean Collins. Cobra Commander orders Wade taken care of once and for all. Cobra Commander also reinstates the kill order on Snake Eyes and Scarlett in the hopes of demoralizing the Joes.

In the High Sierras, Scarlett and Sean fool the gas attendant at the base of the mountain. They take a hike.

At the Collins family home, Wade is suspicious of the funeral at Arlington and the lack of security. Outside, Firefly chases away some kids who approach the ice cream truck he is in. Firefly detonates the explosives he planted in the house while the Collins were at the funeral.

In the Sierras, the Night Creepers attack. The path is narrow and they file down the mountain single file. They are picked off one by one by Outback, Muskrat, Torpedo, Low Light and Stalker. A lone Night Creeper enters the cabin thinking he is part of a larger group. Scarlett is sitting waiting for him. He is then quickly cut down by Sean in full Snake Eyes regalia.
