Full Details

The Joes have arrived at the Rio Lindo airport and destroyed the armored vehicle. (See Issue 196). General Mercado and Clutch meet under a white flag. They brief each other on the sequence of events up to this point. A BAT emerges from the wreckage of the destroyed armored car. General Mercado shoots the robot with his 44 Magnum. The robot drops his grenade and is blown up.

In the containment hangar Duke and the others are facing two BATs. They hear the commotion outside and get ready to try to escape.

At the Terrordrome Ernesto removes his human disguise and is now calling himself CBX-001. The BATs question the hostages but get no information regarding Lola. Ernesto leaves. The Ambassador attacks one of the BATs. They discover the weakness under the chin and exploit it. The hostages Cooper, Grunt, Bryson and Velez make their escape.

In the tunnels underneath the terrordrome Ernesto orders the group to initiate fallback plan Foxtrot. Things do not look good for the captured Joes in the tunnel. Back at the terrordrome Bryson is shot and Velez shoots the shooter.

At the airport Polly leads the Mean Dog crew to where the Joes Duke, Shipwreck, Wild Bill, and Payload are being held nearby. They are freed and join up with the rescue party. In Trieste, Pale Peony and Jinx are in a trolly car. The BATs attack but are quickly defeated by the pair of ninjas and the new mysterious Arashikage member.

In Utah, Scarlett, Snake Eyes and the wolf Trip, have arrived at the PIT. Cobra Commander and DR Mindbender watch as the pair make their way past the security systems of the PIT. Cobra Commander puts his troops on a full alert.

In downtown Rio Lindo, Strawhacker and his cronies discuss the situation brewing in Sierra Gordo and how the General has turned on them. When the reporter Dinah Lum arrives and confirms the airport has been attacked, the criminals scatter.

Back at the Terrordrome the former hostages now prepare to mount an attack. Ernesto attempts to contact Cobra Commander at the PIT, as he does so, Junkyard finds Ernesto.

At the airport Duke tries to get a grasp of the situation. Alpha team and the original hostages (which he does not know are free) are at the Terrordrome but Bravo team and the pilots whereabouts are unknown to the Joes. A courier arrives and hands Intel reports to General Mercado from the city. Just then a corporate jet lands at the airport. Lola steps out onto the runway and demands to know who is in charge and where her husband is. Lola knows everything. She hints that her credentials could be checked through the DOD or NSA but doubts anyone there has high enough clearance. She kicks the courier off his motorcycle and takes off saying she will lead the way. Duke and the Joes follow on the Mean Dog. Wild Bill and Payload stay behind to find some planes to provide air support. To be continued in issue 198.
