Full Details

In the sky above Sierra Gordo, Dogfight is the sole remaining pilot in the air. Not for long however as he crash lands in a field. He is met by rebels, and he destroys the Mudfighter with a self destruct. The rebels put him in the back of a truck with the other downed pilots Skystriker and Ghost Rider.

At the PIT, Lt. Falcon is asking Hawk to pressure the Jugglers to green light another rescue mission. Chuckles calls a local airfreight company and they agree to fly cargo to Rio Lindo. Pehr and Lovett Air Freight will land at the PIT, and pick up the Mean Dog and the relief team. The pilots land and express their concern of flying into an unstable country. Their fears are allayed when they see what their cargo is. The captured Joes are marched past the detention cell in the Terrordrome holding Grunt, President Velez, and Pierce Bryson. Pierce Bryson makes a derogatory comment about the team. The Joes recognize Grunt and are glad to see him still in one piece.

The Joes are led into a tunnel underneath the Terrordrome. they are riding on mining cars. Flint tells Lady Jaye to count support beams and make mental notes about the turns. The Joes notice that their captors are much better organized and professional than a rag tag group of rebels. Roadblock tells Mutt that he made a good call by ordering Junkyard to run just before they got captured.

Back in Grunt’s cell, they watch as the rebels stack the captured Joes weapons nearby. Bryson warns Grunt to not even think about going after the weapons. The President and Cooper turn on him and tell him enough is enough. They will follow any plan of Grunt’s.

At the Rio Lindo airport, Duke and the others from his team are locked up in a storage area with a large chain link fence and barbed wire across the top. The Joes look at the lock but without explosives they are out of luck in any attempt to pick it. Shipwreck points out that Polly is still loose.

In Sierra Gordo at the lumber mill, the Joes of Bravo team are tied up in the mill. They too notice the professional nature of the rebels. Lowlight points out that Rabco is an anagram of Cobra. They come to the conclusion that Cobra must be involved. They begin to plan their escape.

In Northern Virginia, Lola packs her bags, including her pistol which she tucks into the waistband of her pants. She tells her daughter she is going to bring Grunt back.

In Rio Lindo, General Mercado is meeting with Strawhacker, Fitz, Cheng, and Osenko, the businessmen who want him to put a handpicked leader into power to replace Velez. The General cuts the meeting short and says that all deals he had made with the group are now dead. As the group leaves, Ernesto meets with General Mercado.

In Trieste, the Carabinieri SWAT team surrounds the plane from Olliestan that has just landed. They are searching for two women. They find nothing. Jinx pulls Pale Peony out of the cargo bay and they take off on a luggage carrier. Jinx reminds Pale Peony she can use the Arashikage techniques to manage her own pain. They meet a driver who has an Arashikage tattoo who will take her to a trusted doctor.

At Rancho Corba, Cobra Commander is watching the news reports of Dinah Lum. She confirms that there is a plane burning on the runway of the Rio Lindo airport. Cobra Commander tells DR. Mindbender he will now initiate phase two of his plan. He has seen the cargo plane take off with the relief team from the PIT, leaving it with a skeleton crew. He makes plans to attack the PIT.

In the Sierra Nevadas the old man who owned the store (See Issue 192) seeks out Scarlett and Snake Eyes. He is greeted by a growling Trip. Trip is the third generation offspring of Timber. He tells the pair of the news reports he has been seeing and that they would be very interested in hearing about them.

The cargo plane approaches the Rio Lindo airport, the tower thinks nothing of it as it is an approved delivery. All the same, the rebel in the tower orders the armored car to meet the plane as it lands. Seeing the burning wreckage of the C-130 on the runway, Ace takes over the pilot’s chair and lands the plane. Ace swings the plane around so that the cargo doors face the armored car. Wild Card fires the Mean Dogs weapons from within the plane and destroys the car. The Joes on the Mean Dog roll out of the back of the plane, ready for any more rebels that want to challenge them.
