In the Utah Desert deep in the PIT Lt. Falcon is conferring via video with Pale Peony and Jinx who have discovered a new upgraded BAT that uses the Blue Ninja technology. This new connection with Cobra concerns him and he orders them to escape Lauhar immediately.
Mainframe discovers that the hostages are being held in a former Terrordrome.
Dinah Lum has breaking news that a reporter is on his way to Lola and Grunt’s house.
In Sierra Gordo, the Alpha team quickly and quietly pass through a local resident’s yard. Inside, the couple on the couch comment that nothing like what is happening on the TV news ever happens around them.
The Joes in the C-130 land at the Rio Lindo Airport before they get permission. Now that they are down, an armored vehicle greets them. The C-130 is impounded. Duke orders Shipwreck, who is fluent in Spanish, to speak with the airport security.
South South East of the airport the hostages are raised up to the top of the terrordrome in the firebat launch bay and moved over to the launch terminal. Ernesto, Julio and Jefe determine the terrordromes defenses. The motion detectors are too sensitive and will detect local wildlife. There is a minefield and video surveillance.
Grunt and the Marine, Cooper, discuss the odd behavior of the hostage takers. All have the same body language, and show no emotion, no personality. Ambassador Bryson tells them to keep quiet and President Velez calls him on it, scolding him, then the guard kicks her and tells them to keep quiet.
Bravo team covers up the Tomahawk after they land north of the Terrordrome.
In the Terrordrome the hostage takers see on the news that there will be no negotiations. This is what they were waiting for as it confirms they will be attacked soon. Cooper and the Ambassador notice that this seems to be good news to their oppressors which is not a good thing for them.
In northern Virginia when Lola answers the door for a reporter, he persistently questions her and her daughter, and she strikes him.
At the PIT Chuckles hands Mainframe info on the people who were in the bar in Rio Lindo ( issue 194) Stawhacker, Fitz, Cheng, and Osenko. Strawhacker is CIA like his brother was. Fitz works for the banana monopoly. Cheng is a front for herbal imports from China, Osenko works for trans ural petroleum which has ex-KGB ties. Falcon answers Psyche-Out’s question of what they have in common. Cobra. Mainframe cuts him off and tells them their commo in Sierra Gordo is being jammed.
Alpha team makes a decision after the communications cut off to go to the terrordrome.
At the Lauhar airport Jinx and Pale Peony are about to escape when they notice those same large feet that belong to the cyborgs they have encountered. The ninjas attack them and when one cyborg ducks an attack by Pale Peony, she gets shot.
Junkyard leads the team past the minefield, when they reach the Terrordrome Flint orders Alpha team to place explosives. As Torpedo does this they are attacked by an armed team from the top of the terrordrome. Another team attacks them from behind.
Back at the Tomahawk, Bravo team is attacked. An RPG lands among them and they return fire.
At the airport an armored V-100 approaches the C-130 and destroys it. Duke Shipwreck, Wild Bill, and Payload find themselves at gunpoint. The airport security team is going to move the “internees” to a more secure location. The guard laughs as he says this.
In the air, as the Joe pilots are refueling they are attacked by Night Ravens, Liquidators, and Condors.
Back in the PIT the Joes who stayed behind watch Ernesto on the news saying they are interested in having their demands met period. When they begin to ponder what that means, Falcon comes into the mess hall and says the Joes were led into a trap and it is up to them to get them back safely.
In Northern California Cobra Commander comments on how all the pieces of his plan have fallen into place. On the screens in front of him is Dinah Lum reporting from Sierra Gordo. He states he has formed an alliance with the Blue Ninjas.
