Full Details

New Jersey, Revanche Robotics. Bill and George are in a van monitoring the R & D lab through security feeds. They have noticed the Cobalt Chimera Prototype has self-activated, but the pair see no sign of intruders.

Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes engage the robot using a throwing star. The star gets embedded in the back of the mechanical prototype's hand. The response is a lashing out with its monofilament saber.

Castle Destro, the Baroness boards a Hurricane airplane, she tells Destro she is off to take care of financial matters. Destro confronts her asking her if she plans to do something rash to avenge Billy. She replies that Billy meant nothing to her and takes off. Destro goes to her room, her leather outfits are strewn on the bed. He checks the hidden compartment in the closet and sees that weapons are missing.

The Cobalt Chimera Prototype switches from the saber to its mini-gun. Bill and George contact BN-001, who is someone or some "thing" higher up in the Blue Ninja hierarchy. BN-001 is already aware of the situation brewing and is monitoring through the Cobalt Chimera Prototype; taking control of the automaton.

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow reveal themselves. Boris remains hidden. BN-001 uses the sensors of the lab and can "see" all their locations.

In a dojo in New Jersey, Cobra Commander interrogates Sensei Moskvina. He threatens to kill one of her students and she relents. A Techno Viper interrupts and lets Cobra Commander know that they have tracked the components of the robot given to them by Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow (See Issue 173) to Revanche Robotics and an electronics distributor in Finland.

BN-001 identifies Storm Shadow from facial recognition. The program does not identify Snake Eyes, but it does identify Boris and the threat level they pose. He also determines Snake Eyes has had Arashikage training from his movements.

The Cobalt Chimera Prototype experiences a heat overload. The target data and positions cannot be uploaded. The robot acts on its own. BN-001 talks about a weakness in the image intensifiers to bright light. Almost as if he sensed the weakness, Boris says "the computers are sleeping" in Japanese. The three ninjas activate all the computers. The Cobalt Chimera Prototype has to adjust to the new light and this gives the trio the window that they need to attack.

Cobra Commander shoots Moskvina in the head and leaves her for dead. He boards a Cobra helicopter and heads to Revanche Robotics. Moskvina is not dead. She gets to her feet, her hard robot skull has been damaged which is showing underneath her face mask, she was a former Blue Ninja.

Boris points out that the eyes are the weakness in the armor of the Cobalt Chimera Prototype, just as Storm Shadow acts as a decoy allowing Snake Eyes to attack.

In Utah, at The Pit, Scarlett gives a password to Spirit, who sits on the hatch in the hut built over the Pit. She is allowed to enter and she makes her way to the command center. She casually says hello to Clutch, Snow Job, and Leatherneck on her way. Stalker, Dusty and Mainframe show her satellite footage of a Cobra Hurricane airplane moving fast towards the New Jersey coast. A close up of the cockpit shows that the pilot is the Baroness.

Boris destroys the monofilament saber in the robot's grasp. The robot punches Boris hard. Storm Shadow drives his Onihashi forged laminated high carbon steel sword through the back of the robot's head and out its eye socket. The cyborg turns its attention to Storm Shadow. Boris slices through the hamstring on its leg. The metal man stomps on Boris. Snake Eyes moves in and shoots the other eye of the Cobalt Chimera Prototype. The two in the van and BN-001 lose contact, the robot runs wild and crashes out the second story window of the lab. Shocked by what they see, the pair inside the van have no time to react. Cobra Commander's helicopter lands on the van crushing it as well as Bill and George.

Vipers flood into the now destroyed lab but the ninjas are long gone. BN-001 makes sure that all the files and data are destroyed, and documents burned. Realizing that Revanche is a legitimate front business, Cobra Commander orders a search for a paper trail. BN-001 sees Cobra Commander via the security cameras and calls him a meddling fool. He hints at plans to deal with the Commander.

The ninjas are now driving away on the interstate, Boris is hurt bad despite his claims to the contrary. Snake Eyes uses the Arashikage mind set to temporarily ease the pain. Storm Shadow says they will tend to Boris but they need to find out more about just who is behind Revanche Robotics.
