Full Details

Destro is currently being transported as a prisoner as a sword comes slicing through the roof. Several smoke grenades drop in confusing the guards. A hand reaches in grabbing him, pulling him up through the top of the vehicle. The vehicles stops and several of the guards start firing at Snake Eyes and Destro.

Snake Eyes throws Destro off the vehicle into the nearby lake. On the bottom, Destro walks to the shore as Snake Eyes swims by. When they surface numerous Cobra soldiers are waiting for them. Destro still with his arms chained together is freed.

In flashback:
Many years ago, an early teenager James McCullon (Destro) and his stable boy are preparing to go horseback riding. As they are riding around James wants an apple which is in the neighbors orchard. The stable boy reminds him it would be stealing but James orders him to steal some apples, so they do. That night in the castle. Laird Destro, James' father, has discovered the stolen apples. James lies saying he had nothing to do with the stolen apples it was his stable boy. Laird Destro orders the boy away and punished. Then he turns to his son and tells him he knows he lied, but worse he has just wasted an asset. And for wasting an asset he himself with be whipped. That night as he climbs into bed with wounds on his legs, he eats one of the stolen apples.

In Alaska
Destro is talking to Snake Eyes, he believes that the Baroness has put Tomax up to his release and re-capture. He also suspects that Cobra doesn't realize how effective a tool Snake Eyes actually is. He hands Snake Eyes a folder with a mission attached to it. Referencing the chaos Tomax created when he destroyed the Vegas casino that Flint's team had been based (See Cobra Files #9). The folder is all about Erika Le Tene aka Chameleon and Destro wants him to first find her to complete his mission.

Snake Eyes takes the folder and heads to Indonesia, where he tracks down Chameleon. He finds her putting his sword, which has a Cobra symbol it, to her throat. She is not phased because she knows he is not there to kill her. Although she is confused and surprised that Cobra wasn't sending him to find her. Snake Eyes shows her a photo from the folder. It's Billy, Cobra Commander's son and former prisoner of GI Joe.
