Rom - EarthFall Prologue

In Northern California along the coast; two police officers respond to what they believe is a bonfire. As they arrive an armored transport arrives next to them with four military type soldiers. They spotlight a tall silver robot who is speaking a language they don’t understand. As he begins to translate to English, they shoot him knocking him down by catching off guard. He fires up his Energy Analyzers sending out waves of red energy that detect three of the four soldiers are actually Dire Wraiths. These soldiers highlighted in the red energy along with the guns look different than normal humans.

The Dire Wraiths know this space knight as ROM. And fire at him again. But his Neutralizer sings and destroys the weapons and two of the soldiers/Dire Wraiths. The human one in the middle survives. Hiding behind the trees are officers Camilla Byers and Omar Ruiz, along with one soldier that turns out to be a Dire Wraith. The soldier actually transforms from his human form into the Dire Wraith form. Which is an eyeless, huge mouth, muscle bound, talon clawed hand, two legged creature that grows red wings when it steals a lifeforce.

Officer Ruiz is grabbed by the Dire Wraith and is eaten, which gives the Dire Wraith a surge in strength and grows his blood red wings. He moves to attack another human.

ROM moves to defend the surviving human soldier as the Dire Wraith tackles him. But ROM has been regularly fighting Dire Wraiths and the one attacking him is actually a young one. So he easy grabs the Dire Wraith, flies high up above the ocean, punches the Dire Wraith away from him, then pulling out his Neutralizer again he destroys the Dire Wraith.

He returns to the ground as the soldier and Officer Byers ask him if they are being invaded. ROM explains that Earth has already been invaded and the war against the Dire Wraiths is just beginning. And ROM has come to make the human war his own.

Summary by Josh Eggebeen

ROM - EarthFall Part One

The military survivor of the attack by Dire Wraiths when ROM landed is taken to the Earth Defense Command facility in Vandenberg AFB. Dire Wraiths posing as EDC members turn the survivor into a Dire Wraith when Dave Dubosky departs.

ROM finds a small town that has been completely taken over by Dire Wraiths. One person, Darby, is dealing with her entire family who she does not know has been turned. ROM finds her to be the only human left in the town and rescues her. He kills the Wraiths posing as her family and then turn his Neutralizer on the other members of the town. The resident Wraiths record the event and post it on social media to discredit ROM as a murdering attacker from space.

Camilla Byers, the police officer who was accidentally at ROM’s landing calls her supervisor back at the station. He too is a Wraith. She senses this as she had been marked by a Wraith. She realizes she can hear the communication between Wraiths.

Back at Vandenberg, the lone military survivor from ROM's first landing on Earth, now replaced by a Wraith goes with the other Earth Defense Command members to meet a helicopter that has just landed to interview him about the events surrounding ROM’s landing.

Inside the helicopter are Team Leader Scarlett, Roadblock, and Joe Colton.

PLUS
"Revolution Take A Stand"
Joe Colton is talking to Scarlett in the The Pit with Miles Manheim sitting in the corner listening and commenting.

In flashback: Joe Colton is leading his Adventure Team, which includes Miles Manheim, Atomic Man in the desert. Later, Colton and Manheim are meeting with Action Man. Many years later, an aged Joe Colton is giving the thumbs up to the current Joe team members which include General Hawk, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Flint, Duke, Snake Eyes, Roadblock and Scarlett.

Miles Manheim points out that the world has changed dramatically since all of their Adventure Team missions and that is why he is sitting in The Pit.

In flashback: several Transformers Autobots and Decepticons including Ratchet are fighting in their robot forms. Starscream is holding a ball of Energon. Optimus Prime with Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet, and Hot Rod are standing against the Decepticons Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, and Dirge. Manheim explains the Cybertronians where very good at hiding in disguise; they were here seeking a material only found on Earth called ORE-13, which can be refined into Energon – their fuel as well as powerful weapon.

In flashback: Optimus Prime arrived with his Autobots to protect Earth from the Decepticons but Miles and Colton are not too sure about him. Optimus Prime left Earth letting Megatron caused massive damage as he burned the world killing nearly a billion people which forced Optimus to return to defeat Megatron. Optimus leaves again and refuses to share his technology with Earth’s scientists. At the same time, a new organization came to be known worldwide called Cobra. They arrived out of centuries of being in the shadows into a full scale shooting war which leads to a nuclear strike on the country of Nanzhao. The Cobra leadership of Cobra Commander (aka Krake), Baroness, Destro, Major Bludd, Firefly, Storm Shadow and Xamot is shown on screen as Scarlett, Colton and Manheim continue the conversation. Also video footage of Snake Eyes and Helix fighting Red Ninjas is shown. Scarlett has now been promoted to Colonel and The Pit is filled with covered vehicles in the dark.

The GI Joe team has been brought into the public light, discredited and defunded cause of the failure to stop Cobra.

Miles Manheim reminds them of the return of Megatron and Soundwave. It was a deal based on trust with the Earth Defense Command and Marissa Faireborn and Daniel Witwicky but they ended up betraying humans and this time GI Joe will be there to stop them.
