Variations

The remote activator can be found with a thick handle or a thin handle.

Body Construction

Scrap Iron's body mold was mostly made up of original parts. His arms and lower portion of his legs were recolored and used from Airborne (1983).

Scrap Iron's legs were used in some versions of Steel Brigade action figures, and the head, torso, and waist were used in making Scrap Iron (v2) (2004).

Note that the figure's head only turns left and right - it does not allow the head to look up and down. The heads only turned left and right until the the swivel ball head that was introduced in 1985 (Series Four).

International Releases

Scrap-Iron was released in Canada in dual-language packaging.

In India in 1988, Scrap Iron was released with slight paint differences. India also used Scrap-Iron's lower arms in a release of Ozone. A very rare figure has been found with the body of Scrap Iron in a red uniform and the head of Zap as Cross Country. Cross Country was a promotional Complan Commando figure produced for Complan Chocolate Health Drink.
