Extreme Troop G.I.Joe Bootlegs
Because of their popularity, G.I.Joe action figures were often imitated by foreign toy companies, trying to cash in on G.I.Joe's popularity. The results were... interesting, to say the least.
Pictured above is an obvious bootleg. This figure was made by Agglo
Corporation Limited, a Hong-Kong based company known for knock offs of several
popular lines. This line, Extreme Troop, consisted off 10 characters including the Cobra
Commander shown here, although in this line CC was one of the good guys. While
it may be difficult to see in the photo, these figures had the limited, 5-point
articulation. The construction and figures offered in this line were almost
identical to the
Pepsodent Premium figures available from India.
The same molds were used by Happy Well International Enterprise Limited to
make the X-Troop line.
