What can you say about a guy who totes a 134 pound machine gun as his personal weapon, and who can whip up the meanest freeze-dried crawdad stew this side of the Milky Way? Not much. You just stay out of his field of fire, and ask for seconds. ROADBLOCK is the man who lays down cover fire when the Joes need to clear Cobra Astro Vipers off a planet's surface. "It's like scraping bugs off your windshield," Roadblock always says. "They're a hassle at first but eventually they get squished and disappear."
Variations
Two versions of Roadblock have been spotted - one with black grenades on his chest and one with silver grenades on his chest. The silver grenades variation is more difficult to find.
Featured In
Roadblock was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.
Body Construction
Roadblock was created using the same mold as Roadblock (v6) (1993), which included the body mold from General Hawk (1991) and General Hawk (v3) (1993), and the head from Roadblock (v4) (1992) and Roadblock (v5) (1993).
Versions of Roadblock
Note that Roadblock (v8) has a file name of "Charles L. Griffith," making that figure a version of "Double Blast" (2001). However, the conventional wisdom is that this was simply an error on Hasbro's part, and that the figure is supposed to be the "Marvin F. Hinton" Roadblock of the other versions.
