Series: Thirteen (1994)
Ozone was released carded in the thirteenth series (1994) as part of the Star Brigade subset. The later 1994 Star Brigade figures were numbered 49 through 54 - Ozone was number 54.
Ozone was discontinued in 1994.
It was common practice at Hasbro among the toy makers to sculpt action figures to look like real life individuals - including employees of Hasbro.
Ozone was named after David Kunitz, a member of the G.I. Joe design team working for Hasbro at the time of this figure's release.
Ozone came with a maroon helmet, three silver guns, a silver machete, an orange missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two silver missiles, and a silver figure stand.
Except for the helmet and and missile launcher, all of Ozone's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree." The accessories were removed from the tree.
