Series: Twelve (1993)
Vega was released carded in the twelfth series (1993) as part of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 subset. The Street Fighter 2 figures were numbered 1 through 12 - Vega was number 10.
He was discontinued domestically in 1994.
Accessories
Vega came with a two gold swords, a gold axe, a gold knife, two gold dueling knives, a gold sickle, and a gold figure stand.
All of Vega's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree." The accessories were removed from the tree.

No variations of Vega (v1) are known to exist.
Body Construction
While Vega had an original head, the rest of the figure was created using the mold of Banzai (1993).
The body was designed with a martial arts action - "Matador Mash." Vega's upper body could be twisted back to his right, then released, causing it to spring forward in a punching motion.
Versions of Vega
This was the only version of Vega ever released.
A Street Fighter Movie version of Vega was released in 1994, but the Street Fighter Movie figures are not considered G.I.Joe figures.
