Sagat was released carded in the twelfth series (1993) as part of Capcom's Street Fighter 2 subset. The Street Fighter 2 figures were numbered 1 through 12 - Sagat was number 12.
He was discontinued domestically in 1994.
Accessories
Sagat came with a three purple swords, purple nunchuks, a purple knife, two purple claws, and a purple figure stand.
All of Sagat's accessories came attached to one plastic "tree." The accessories were removed from the tree.

No variations of Sagat (v1) are known to exist.
Body Construction
Sagat's body is entirely original - no parts were taken from other figures and no parts were ever re-used.
The body was designed with a martial arts action - "Thai Chop." Sagat's right arm could be lowered causing the left arm to rise. When the right arm was released, the left arm would come down in a chopping motion.
Versions of Sagat
This was the only version of Sagat ever released.
A Street Fighter Movie version of Sagat was released in 1994, but the Street Fighter Movie figures are not considered G.I.Joe figures.
