NITRO-VIPER (v1)

Series: Twelve (1993)
Nitro-Viper was released as part of the twelfth series (1993) boxed with the Cobra Detonator. He was discontinued domestically in 1994.
Nitro-Viper holds the dubious distinction of being the only G.I. Joe character released during 1982 - 1994 not to come with a filecard. In 1994, noted 3 3/4" collector Michael Livanos created a Nitro-Viper filecard that was "sanctioned" by Hasbro.

Motto: "If it stands we can knock it down!"
COBRA DETONATORS are the new elite tanks of the COBRA armed forces. They feature the latest in laser targeting, computerized global positioning, and smart missile technology, conceived in DESTRO'S armaments factories. The competition among TRACK-VIPERS to become operators of the DETONATOR is intense. Prospective NITRO-VIPERS are required to exhibit their ruthlessness by blowing up video game arcades and amusement parks. NITRO-VIPERS enjoy blowing things up so much that other COBRA Troopers and Vipers give them a wide berth.
