Mega-Vipers were released carded as part of the twelfth series (1993) as part of the Mega Marines subset.
They were discontinued domestically in 1994.
Accessories
Mega-Vipers came with four yellow guns, a pink missile launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), two yellow missiles, a yellow figure stand, a black armor mold, and a canister of "moldable bio-armor."
The "moldable bio-armor" was Play-Doh that could be molded onto the figure using the armor piece.
Except for the missile launcher, armor, and canister of Play-Doh, all of Mega-Vipers' accessories came attached to one plastic "tree." The accessories were removed from the tree.

Body Construction
Mega-Vipers' body mold is entirely original and not made up from previous molds. The entire figure was used to create the 2003 Convention figure, Swamp-Viper.
