Headhunters (version 2) were released carded as part of the twelfth series (1993). The 1993 Battle Corps figures were numbered 1 through 36 - Headhunters were number 35.
Headhunters were intended to be part of the 1993 assortment of D.E.F. (Drug Elimination Force) subset. However, Hasbro decided not to release any D.E.F. toys in 1993 and instead repackaged them as Battle Corps toys.
They were discontinued domestically in 1994.
Accessories
Headhunters came with a black shotgun, a black backpack, a purple rocket launcher (spring loaded, actually fired), a black missile, and a black figure stand.

No variations of Headhunters (v2) are known to exist.
Body Construction
The entire mold of Headhunters was originally used in 1992 to create the original Headhunters.
International Releases
In Canada, Headhunters was released in dual-language packaging.
In Brazil, Headhunters was re-colored and released as Brutus, part of the "Forca Bruta" line.
In Australia, Headhunters was released on D.E.F. packaging instead of Battle Corps packaging.
