Python Tele-Viper was first released carded as part of the eighth series (1989). He was also sold in 1990 and was discontinued domestically in 1991.
Leftover Hasbro stock of this figure was packaged with new accessories and sold at the 1992 G.I.Joe Convention as "Cobra Tele-Viper."

Python Tele-Viper came with a black scanner and a black backpack. [See VARIATIONS below]
Packaging Information
Variations
Some Python Tele-Vipers also came with a hose to connect the scanner and backpack, like the original Tele-Viper. It is unknown which version is more difficult to find.
The 1992 G.I.Joe Convention release came with two silver guns and a black knife.
