Hardtop gets the job done. If you tell him to move his Crawler to the top of a mountain, he doesn't ask how to get it there, why it has to be there or even where the mountain is-he just gets is there. What? No road up the mountain? Hardtop will make his own road! No level clearing on top? No problem-just don't get in his way.
"You might say he was the strong silent type, emphasis on the silent. His idea of a long conversation is a nod and a handshake. It's not that he's unfriendly, he simply has his own priorities and talking isn't one of them."
Variations
Some versions of Hardtop did not come with the black handgun.
How common this variation is is a point of debate among G.I.Joe collectors. Some believe that many, if not most, Hardtops came with no handgun at all. Considering this, Hardtop's handgun may be the most difficult accessory to find.
Featured In
Hardtop was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.
Body Construction
Hardtop's body mold is entirely original and not made up from previous molds. Hardtop's legs were re-used in 1991 to create Major Altitude.
