Accessories
Gung-Ho came with a gold (Non-Com) Dress Sabre.
Gung-Ho also came with a decal sheet with his stripes and medals. However, these decals are most often found already applied to the action figure. Few collectors consider a loose Gung-Ho incomplete if the decals have already been applied.

Birthplace: Fer-de Lance, Louisiana
Primary Specialty: Recondo Instructor

Gung-Ho was born and raised in a swamp, went to boot camp in a swamp and spent most of his Marine Corps career sneaking around in other countries' swamps with a grenade launcher in his hands. He can low-crawl through the nastiest black-water, stinking mud and bubbling slime for a week with half his body covered in leeches and the other half raw with bug bites and still make an 0700 inspection formation with polished brass, spit-shined shoes, razor creases and a mean look in his eye. That's a Marine.
Variations
The G.I.Joe Convention release came with a black kris and a black sword.
Featured In
Gung-Ho was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.
Body Construction
Gung-Ho's body is completely original - all new body parts.
Note that Gung-Ho's head and his Dress Hat are two separately molded pieces held together with glue. While some hats can be removed from the head, more often than not this results in damage to the head, the hat, or both. For those curious, we have included an image showing Gung-Ho's head with his Dress Hat removed, showing sculpted but unpainted hair.
International Releases
Gung-Ho's head, chest, waist, and legs were re-used in Brazil to create Marechal Do-Ar.
