Recondo hates the cold. He loves hauling a rucksack through the bush and sweating through his cammies. When he's in the jungle, he owns it. Anybody else is trespassing. Cadre member at Jungle Warfare Training Center. Qualified expert: M-16; Swedish K; grease gun; M-1911A1 Auto Pistol; M-79 grenade launcher.

"A jungle is like some single, gigantic, hostile organism. It can sense when you fear or hate it-and it is wholly without mercy. When Recondo steps into a jungle, it sings to him like a mother soothing a troubled child."


Several variations of the camouflage patterns on Recondo's legs have been found, varying in color and thickness. The color of the camouflage should match the color of Recondo's watch. Note that what is considered a "brown" camouflage is actually a dark olive drab.

Recondo's accessories have been found in two different shades of green. The color of Recondo's accessories should match the color of his hat.

Body Construction

Recondo's body mold is entirely original and not made up from previous molds.

Recondo's entire mold was re-used in 1988 for the Tiger Force Recondo (v2).

Recondo's chest piece and waist piece was re-colored and re-used in some versions of Starduster.

Note that the figure's head only turns left and right - it does not allow the head to look up and down. The heads only turned left and right until the the swivel ball head that was introduced in 1985 (Series Four).

International Releases

In Europe, Recondo was sold boxed in the mid-80s with the Silent Attack. This figure could also be found in randomly packed figure four-packs.

In Brazil, Recondo was sold in 1986 as Patrulheiro da Selva, Codename: Leopardo.

Auriken released Recondo boxed in Mexico.
