Filecard Information

File Name: Classified
Birthplace: Classified
Primary Specialty: Sabotage, Demolitions, and Terror

No one knows what Firefly's real name is or what he looks like. He is known by his work. Expert in all NATO and Warsaw Pact explosives and detonators. Always places his charges in the one place that affords maximum damage. There is no question about his infiltration skills since no one has ever reported seeing him enter or leave any target area.

"Even COBRA Commander doesn't know much about Firefly. His fees are paid into a numbered Swiss bank account and are always payable in advance. He makes no guarantees and gives no refunds."

Firefly has been found with two different versions. One version has dark black eyes and eyebrows, while the other version has light brown eyes and eyebrows. Neither version is more difficult to find than the other.

Firefly's rifle and walkie-talkie were molded in bright green or dull green plastic. The dull green plastic tends to leak a red fluid after several years. This fluid can be wiped off easily, however.

Body Construction

Firefly's body mold is entirely original and not made up from previous molds. The entire mold was used to create Firefly (v4) (1998), Firefly (v5) (2000), Firefly (v7) (2002), Wreckage (2003), Firefly (v8) (2003), Firefly (v9) (2003), Firefly (v11) (2004), and Firefly (v13) (2005).

All but the head was reused to make Firefly (v12) (2005).

Note that the figure's head only turns left and right - it does not allow the head to look up and down. The heads only turned left and right until the the swivel ball head that was introduced in 1985 (Series Four).

International Releases

Firefly was released in the United Kingdom and Europe on Action Force cards.

Takara released Firefly in Japan in 1986.

Funskool released Firefly in India. A very rare figure has been found with the body of Firefly in a light blue uniform and the head of Flash as Rocker. Rocker was a promotional Complan Commando figure produced for Complan Chocolate Health Drink.
