Felix "Mercenary" Stratton was released in the Slaughter's Marauders Battle Set for the 30th Anniversary line in 2011. The set also included David "Red Dog" Taputapu (v3), Gabriel "Barbecue" Kelly (v6), Low-Light (v9), Spirit Iron-Knife (v5), Varujan "Bull" Ayvazyan, and Vincent "Falcon" Falcone (v2).

Felix "Mercenary" Stratton is the only COBRA VIPER to defect to the G.I. JOE team and survive. He joined COBRA for the adventure and the promise of material gain, but soon grew dissatisfied with the COBRA philosophy. To escape COBRA Island, he hot-wired a hydrofoil and outran his pursuers. He brings to the team a proficiency with small arms and explosive devices, and inside information about COBRA.

Body Construction
Felix "Mercenary" Stratton was created using the torso, waist, and upper legs of Shock Trooper (2011), the arms of Storm Shadow (v34a) (2009) and Storm Shadow (v34b) (2009), the lower legs and feet of Zartan (v20) (2010), and a new head.
Versions of Mercer
In 2011, Mercer was renamed "Mercenary." So while there are multiple names, they are all based on the character "Mercer." Note that Mercer (v2) has a different file name.
