EDWIN "LIFELINE" STEEN was a paramedic with the Seattle Fire Department for five years before enlisting in the Army as corpsman. When something heavy comes down on the G.I. JOE team, and they're in no condition to walk out on their own, "Lifeline" is the one who goes in and extricates them. As a combat medic, he walks into a battles zone to give immediate medical treatment to those in need.

Edwin "Lifeline" Steen (version 7) was created using the upper arms of of Shock Trooper (2011), the legs of Snake Eyes (v54) (2011), and a new head, torso, waist, forearms, and hands.
Versions of Lifeline
In 2004, Lifeline was renamed "Sgt. Lifeline." Note that most versions are named Edwin C. Steen. Version Three did not come with a file card, and version five and Sgt. Lifeline are named Greg Scott.
