Cobra Commander (v43) came with a black and blue coat, a silver spring-loaded missile launcher, a green missile, a silver pistol, a silver and green syringe, a silver communicator, a green cobra, and a black display stand.

Cobra Commander was originally available with holes in his chest and in the back of his head, then with the head holes filled and holes still in the chest, also with the chest holes filled and holes still in the head, and finally with no holes.

In addition, earlier figures had a large hexagonal hole in the back of the coat while later figures had a smaller hole in the back of the coat.

Cobra Commander (v43) was created using all new molds.

"The Doctor" represents Cobra Commander before adopting the title in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. "Old Snake" represents a future version of Cobra Commander from Sunbow's The Transformers animated series.
