Series: Eighteen (2002)
Shipwreck (version 4) was released as part of the eighteenth series (2002), carded in a two-pack with Sidetrack (v2). Shipwreck was part of the Real American Hero Collection "Wave 5" figures in 2002 that was not released in stores, but was only available in limited quantities to online retailers.
Shipwreck came with a black sub-machine gun, a black rifle, a black pistol, a black knife, a black airmask, two black flippers, and a black figure stand.
All of Shipwreck's accessories, except the airmask and fins are the same as those that came attached to the plastic "tree" that came with Shipwreck (v2). These accessories were removed from the tree prior to packaging and the missiles from the tree were not included.

Motto: "The water is my turf, so I make sure COBRA ships are kissing the sea bottom when I'm done with them."
SHIPWRECK feels right at home on and in the water, but his training as one of the elite Navy S.E.A.L.S make him the master of any environment. He joined the Navy as soon as he was old enough, graduated from Naval Gunnery School and soon joined the S.E.A.L.S. He got basic underwater demolition training at the Naval Special Warfare Center in Coronado, California, and went on to participate in many covert missions before joining the GI JOE team to use his multiple skills to blast COBRA battleships and submarines out of the water.
No variations of Shipwreck (v4) are known to exist.
Shipwreck (version 4) was created using the same mold as Shipwreck (v2) (1994) and Shipwreck (v3) (1998). All three of these Shipwreck figures share the same legs and waistpiece as the original Wet-Suit (1986).
