Description:

The Hurricane VTOL was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1990. It included the pilot, Vapor. It was discontinued in 1991.

Versions of the Hurricane:

This was the only version of the Hurricane ever released.


Driver/Pilot: Vapor

Vapor was released as part of the ninth series (1990), packaged exclusively with the Hurricane VTOL. He was discontinued domestically in 1991.

Easily Broken/Lost Pieces:

The blue tabs inside the plane that keep the wings horizontal when not in VTOL mode are EXTREMELY fragile. Handle with care! The fins on the missile are fragile and bend easily, handle cautiously. The tabs for the canopy can also break easily.


Variations:

No variations of the Hurricane VTOL are known to exist.


Vehicle Construction:

The vehicle mold was repainted or retooled for the following vehicles:

This was the only usage of the Hurricane mold.


International Releases:

In South Korea the Hurricane VTOL was released with packaging exactly the same as the U.S. version, except that Korean-language stickers were placed over the English text. Note that the box in this example appears to be sun-bleached.
