The S.L.A.M. [Strategic Long-Range Artillery Machine] was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1987. It was also sold in 1988 and was discontinued domestically in 1989.

The ten small, orange missiles are easily lost.
No variations of S.L.A.M. are known to exist.

This was the only usage of the S.L.A.M. mold.
In Canada, the S.L.A.M. was released with English and French text on the box.
