The Cobra Sea Ray was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1987. It included the pilot, Sea Slug. The Sea Ray was also sold in 1988 and was discontinued domestically in 1989.
Later, the Sea Ray was available bagged as a mail-order offer from Hasbro Direct.
