The Cobra Maggot was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1987. It included a driver, W.O.R.M.S.. The Maggot was also sold in 1988 and was discontinued domestically in 1989.
The Maggot mold was re-used in 1988 to create the Night Force Night Blaster.
