The Triple 'T' was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1986. It included the driver, Sgt Slaughter (v2). The Triple 'T' was also sold in 1987 and was discontinued domestically in 1988.

The Triple 'T' was also available mail-order in 1991, but was colored differently (see variations below).

Driver/Pilot: SGT. SLAUGHTER (v2)

Sgt. Slaughter (version 2) was first available as part of the fifth series (1986), packaged exclusively with the Triple-T Tank. He was also sold in 1987, then was discontinued domestically in 1988.

The engine cover and missiles are commonly missing items.

The Triple 'T' was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.

Variations

The mail-order Triple 'T' came with a black engine cover, red guns, red missiles, and a red grill plate.

In Argentina, the Triple 'T' was released in silver.
