Series: Four (1985)
The Cobra Moray Hydrofoil was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1985. It included a driver, Lamprey. The Moray was also sold in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.
Driver/Pilot: LAMPREY (v1)
Lamprey was first released as part of the fourth series (1985) packaged exclusively with the Cobra Moray Hydrofoil. He was also sold in 1986. In 1987, Lamprey and the Cobra Moray Hydrofoil were discontinued.
Easily Broken/Lost Pieces
The Moray included numerous small parts which were easily broken or misplaced - including a searchlight, 2 windshields, 2 side missiles, steering wheel, 2 seats, 2 storage covers, four m-30 machine guns, four depth charges and 4 missiles.
There are two versions of the Moray frame. The first version attached to the bow with exposed snaps - the second version has posts that fit into the slots. If you look at the very front of the boat, the first version has tabs that hold the red top to the gray bottom. The second version does not have tabs.
