Description:
The Cobra Moray Hydrofoil was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1985. It included a driver, Lamprey.
The Moray was also sold in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.
The Moray mold was re-used in 1989 to create the Night Force Night Ray.
In 2004 the Moray was re-released as a Convention Exclusive Tiger-Ray.
Variants:
There are two versions of the Hydrofoil frame. The first version attached to the bow with exposed snaps - the second version has posts that fit into the slots.
If you look at the very front of the boat, the first version has tabs that hold the red top to the gray bottom. The second version does not have tabs.
International Variants:
The Moray Hydrofoil was also sold in Venezuela and Europe.
Easily Lost/Broken Parts:
The Moray included numerous small parts which were easily broken or misplaced - including a searchlight, 2 windshields, 2 side missiles, steering wheel, 2 seats,
2 storage covers, four m-30 machine guns, four depth charges and 4 missiles.
