The Flight Pod was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1985. It was also sold in 1986 and was discontinued in 1987.
Easily Broken/Lost Pieces
The Flight Pod included two missiles, detachable engines and an aerial mine which were very easily misplaced.
The mine was available with either rounded spikes or pointed spikes.
In 1986, the Flight Pod was sold internationally in Japan.
