The VAMP [Multi-Purpose Attack Vehicle] and HAL [Heavy Artillery Laser] were released together in a Sears Exclusive boxed set in 1984. The boxed set included the VAMP and HAL - but no figures. The set was discontinued in 1985.

For the VAMP, take extra care with the two gasoline cans and the steering wheel. Being small pieces, these are often lost. Also, often missing or broken is the machine gun.
For the HAL,
the stabilizer leg and computer are easy to lose. The stabilizer leg comes off very easily. |

Some versions of the VAMP came with a unique chassis, best evidenced by the presence of a shovel molded onto the hood. Some Sears boxed sets with the HAL included these. This mold was also used for the Japanese release of the VAMP.
