The Bivouac was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1984. The toy was also sold in 1985 and was discontinued in 1986.

Easily Broken/Lost Pieces:

The canteen for the Bivouac is a very small and very easily lost piece. Take care with this item. Also, the pieces for the accessory rack are easily lost and often missing. Additionally the legs for the cot can be missing or hard to find.

There are no known variations of the Bivouac.
