The Viper Glider was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1983. The box included the driver, Cobra Viper Pilot.
The toy was also sold in 1984 and was discontinued in 1985.
The same mold was used that same year to create the G.I.Joe Attack Glider - Falcon .
