The Missile Launcher [PAC/RAT] was first released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 1983. It was also sold in 1984 and was discontinued in 1985.

The three PAC/RATs were sold as a set from Hasbro Direct via mail-away offers from 1985 until 1992.

The PAC/RATs have many small pieces that can break or become lost, and the remote control is also very easily lost.

Variations:

Some of the mail-in version of the Missile Launcher [PAC/RAT] are molded in a darker shade of green.

International Releases:

In 1986, Plastirama sold the Missile Launcher [PAC/RAT] in Argentina as the Robot Lanza-Misiles.

Also in 1986, Estrela Toys released the Missile Launcher [PAC/RAT] in Brazil as the Robô-Lança-Mísseis.
