Description:
The Assault Copter Locust [XH-1] was released boxed in U.S. toy stores in 2000. The box included the driver, Wild Bill (v4).
This Locust helicopter should not be confused with the Locust mini-copter that was sold in 1990.
The Locust was originally to be called the Dragonfly, but Hasbro lost the copyright to the name, so chose to rename it the Locust. Pre-production boxes pictured at the G.I.Joe Convention in 2000 show the name Dragonfly.
The mold was previously used in 1984 to create the G.I.Joe Dragonfly and in 1988 to create the G.I.Joe Tiger Fly.
