Backblast was released in 2007 in the G.I. Joe Combat Squad as part of the Toys R Us exclusive "Land Sea Air" box set. He was included with Barrel Roll and Deep Six.

Body Construction:
Backblast was created using the head of Grand Slam (2007), the body of Heavy Duty (2005), and the right hand of G.I. Joe Marine (Leatherneck) (2007) and measures 9 inches tall.
Backblast is articulated at the neck, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, chest, waist, legs, knees, shins, and ankles. Note that he also has a spring-loaded hinge in his right hand - the "Kung Fu Grip."
