From the depths of international terrorism comes the backbone of the COBRA organization, COBRA: The Enemy! More affectionately referred to as the "COBRA Trooper" these blue-clad bad guys are immediately identifiable with the evil terrorist nation and will do whatever it takes in support of their leader, COBRA Commander.
The original version of this infamous faceless grunt wore what seemed like a blue bodysuit, but this update brings it more military. With well detailed and sculpted military clothes from neck to ankles, this updated COBRA Trooper is a very nice homage to the original Troopers, yet brings the design up to date, so to speak.
His kneepads conceal very well made double knee joints, which allow for some great poses...somewhat unfortunately, though, a slight lack of motion at his hips prevents some of the more dramatic poses. Still, even with this reduction in mobility, the COBRA Trooper can run into battle, stand in defense of his cause and fire his weapon at anyone who dares stand in their way.
The webgear is very nicely detailed, though it ends up looking a bit sparse on his wide torso. Swivel wrists work very well, too, as all improved articulation blends nicely with the overall figure design.
Even though Hasbro took some liberties with the design, to make this tooling also work for the COBRA Officer, the Trooper makes for a great tribute and will beef up your Anniversary display well.
COBRRAAA!!!
