StatueToys.com has new figures, statues and collectibles available that are sure to fill that gap in your collection...

Ralph McQuarrie was the design consultant and conceptual artist for the original Star Wars Trilogy. One of his most important contributions to the Star Wars saga is the image of Darth Vader. McQuarrie created many concept illustrations, and one his most memorable was a painting from 1975 depicting Darth Vader battling Luke Skywalker. According to McQuarrie, early versions of the script implied that a rebel starship had its hull breached as Imperial troopers were boarding it. As a result, the duel between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker necessitated that the two of them wear breathing apparatuses. The script was later revised so that the battle between Luke and Vader would not take place until “The Empire Strikes Back.” While Luke no longer required the mask after script rewrites, Vader remained with his mask, which was more lupine than the one George Lucas eventually settled on. This famous McQuarrie image is now available as the Kotobukiya Luke vs Vader 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Vinyl Model Kit. From Kotobukiya, this vinyl, snap-together piece, which features two figures, can be displayed together or separately. Together, the combine bases measure approximately 16.5 inches long, with Vader standing approximately 11 inches tall.

Also available for pre-order is DC Direct’s Batman: Black and White Statue (Jim Lee). This wonderful piece was sculpted by the amazingly talented Erick Sosa, who has sculpted for the likes of Bowen Designs, Electric Tiki and Aspen Comics. This piece is the newest addition to DC Direct’s insanely popular Batman: Black and White line of statues. This original creation, designed by artist Jim Lee, presents his unique vision of the Caped Crusader. The statue measures approximately 5.5” tall x 7” wide x 5” deep. As with the other statues in this series, it is painted in monochromatic tones and stands on a logo-shaped based.

Also available soon is the Oneechanbara Aya PVC Figure . Meet Aya as she hacks and slashes her way through hordes of shuffling zombies and nightmarish boss creatures wearing nothing more than a scarf, a cowboy hat, boots, and a bikini in the console game Oneechanbara. Never heard of it? You will with the scheduled release on the X-box 360. Besides, who cares? This is a sexy, Japanese cowgirl in nothing more than a scarf, cowboy hat, boots, and a bikini! What perfect fighting apparel! Sculpted by famed garage-kit artist Shunji Hagii (Studio Saru Bunshitsu Kasetsujo), this 1/6 scale PVC statue comes window boxed with display base and trademark katana... and did we mention that she is wearing nothing more than a scarf, cowboy hat, boots, and a bikini? Oh, yeah, we forgot those half-sleeve thingies. Produced by Yamato, this 1/6 scale hottie requires no assembly and comes window boxed with a display base and her trademark katana.

And finally, available for pre-order is the Rocky 12” Statue.. Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Rocky, this sculpture, created by A. Thomas Schomberg, sculptor of the original Rocky statue that appeared in “Rocky III,” is presented by Schomberg in conjunction with MGM Studios in 12” and 20” versions. This sculpt, featuring Rocky in a victorious pose with his arms outstretched above his head, is a timeless image of the famed South Philly pugilist. The 12” version is cast in high-quality polystone and finished in faux bronze. The 20” version is also cast in high-quality polystone, but is also bronze plated and hand painted, and is the perfect way to celebrate your passion for sports and film.
