SgtSavage.com and YoJoe.com announce Joint Mission, encourage participation

Starting in February, SgtSavage.com and YoJoe.com are proud to announce a joint venture, the Feature Character Spotlight. Nominations for the Feature Character will be held on the Savage Soundoffs boards starting January 19. Final voting will be held as a poll on YoJoe.com starting January 27 running through February 2. The Spotlight is scheduled to go live February 17.

We are opening the Spotlight to all G.I.Joe related websites (any website, big or small!). This is an exciting and ground breaking opportunity for us, as webmasters, to set an example by putting aside our differences and working towards a common goal - and that's the positive promotion of G.I. Joe.

Please contact jeff@yojoe.com if you have interest in participating. On February 3, we will contact all interested webmasters with the winner of the Spotlight, then you will have until February 15 to have your content in place on your website and ready to go. Yojoe.com will be hosting pictures of released figures, cover scans of comics that feature the character, and any released merchandise featuring that character. SgtSavage.com will be featuring a history of the character, like the one shown here. We are encouraging anything related to the character to be used as content, including original art, customs, dioramas, and fan fiction as possible ideas.

On February 16, we will be sending out the links for every website that is participating, and we will be going live with the Spotlight on February 17.

A new Feature Character will be nominated for a Spotlight in April, depending on interest and response to the first Spotlight.
